How to Prepare for My Child’s First Appointment
- Talk with your child and explain that their first appointment is an opportunity for us to develop a relationship with your family and demonstrate how safe, and even fun, our office can be.
- Don’t stress! Kids often take their cues from their parents. If you act like a visit to the dentist is nothing to worry about, your child will most likely feel the same way!
- If your child has a “comfort item” like a favorite toy or blanket, we encourage you to bring it along to the appointment.
- Know that we will examine your child’s mouth to ensure dental development is progressing on track.
