- Morehead Planetarium & Science Center: Looking for a way to combine education and fun? This excellent planetarium frequently has fun shows going on and is a great place for kids. Check out their calendar to see upcoming events!
- Carolina Sports: UNC’s sports program is always a blast, and the iconic Merritt’s Grill even has a stand in the stadium. The men’s baseball team is usually one of the nation’s best, so make sure not to miss out!
- Hillsborough Riverwalk: This magnificent greenway is an incredible way to enjoy the natural beauty of North Carolina. The 1.8 mile paved trail is perfect for walking, running, or cycling!
- Museum of Life & Science: This combination of museum, zoo, and nature center is sure to delight both kids and adults. With 84 acres, 60 species of animals, and tons of educational activities, it’s a fantastic place to spend an afternoon.
- American Tobacco Campus: Don’t let the name fool you: this is actually a collection of delicious restaurants and bars that is sure to please any foodie.
- Fridays on the Front Porch: This laid-back gathering includes craft cocktails, live music, and delicious food trucks. Check the website to find out when the event starts up this year!
- Top of the Hill Restaurant & Brewery: A mainstay of the Chapel Hill culinary and beverage scene, this is a great spot for a nice dinner or a tasty drink. You can even book tours of the distillery!
- Duke&Carolina Basketball Museums: Both Duke and UNC have museums dedicated to their basketball programs that are fantastic for fans of the teams and the sport itself. Carolina’s museum even features a framed letter written from Michael Jordan to Duke’s head coach declining his invitation to the university!
- Carolina Basketball Games: The season may be over, but basketball games at Carolina are always fun for the whole family. Children under 2 get in free!
