Clifton & Mauney’s Smile Protection Plan makes retainer replacement more affordable and less stressful, with up to two complete sets—or four individual arches—per year for up to five years. You can enroll yourself or your child in the plan when treatment calls for retainers after braces or clear aligners.

What is Clifton & Mauney’s Smile Protection Plan?
Our Smile Protection Plan is a personalized retainer replacement membership for Clifton & Mauney orthodontic patients. It’s just one of our payment options that gives families a predictable way to replace lost or broken retainers without paying the full cost of a new set each time.
When orthodontic treatment, including braces or clear aligners, is complete, patients receive one set of retainers. They also receive 3D models to save for future retainer fabrication. Enrolled patients may receive up to four individual replacement retainers per year for a $25

Without the plan, a replacement set costs $548. The Smile Protection Plan offers two enrollment options, plus a $25 copay for each individual replacement retainer.

The plan covers the named patient only and cannot be transferred to a sibling, parent, or another family member.
What to know before you enroll
Our Smile Protection Plan makes replacement retainers easier to manage, but families should understand the plan terms before enrolling.
Important plan details:
- The plan applies only to the named patient and is not transferable to another family member.
- Coverage begins on the enrollment date or when orthodontic treatment is complete.
- The plan continues for up to five years, with the annual replacement allowance resetting on the same date each year.
- Unused replacement retainers do not carry over from one plan year to the next.
- If teeth move and additional orthodontic treatment is needed, separate retreatment fees may apply.
- Membership is non-refundable, and plan terms are subject to change.
- The plan may not be eligible for FSA reimbursement.
