Expressing Gratitude for Pediatric Dentistry

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and while we’re obviously excited about getting to see family and enjoy a delicious (if slightly oversized) meal, we think that it’s important to really take the time to be thankful during this time of year – gratitude is a powerful thing! Stopping to count our blessings and truly understand what we’re fortunate for is a great way to keep things in perspective and maintain a healthy outlook on life. While there’s a lot we’re thankful for, perhaps what we feel most blessed by is our job – we’re constantly thankful for the opportunity to do what we do. That’s why for this blog, we’re going to share what makes pediatric dentistry so important – and why we’re so happy to provide it!

A Specialized Experience

The truth is that when it comes to dentistry, children simply have different needs than adults. While adults mainly need to focus on consistent oral hygiene, avoiding certain foods, and keeping their teeth clean, children need developmental monitoring – a skill set that most general dentists don’t have. A child needs their dentist to pay close attention to how their teeth are coming in and needs an office environment that’s welcoming enough for them to feel at home during their visits – all things that we work hard to provide.

We feel incredibly grateful to get to do what we do, and not a day goes by where we aren’t reminded of how wonderful our job is. It’s a blessing to watch a child grow up into a functional adult – and taking care of their teeth is our way of contributing to that growth!
